| Century 21 Agent Named Woman of the Year Stephanie Bergh, a Century 21 Southern Idaho Realty Sales Associate, was recently named the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce's 2010 "Woman of the Year". Stephanie was honored for the many community activities that she is involved with and was also described as a "driving force on the Agri-Business Committee". We are, of course, justifiably proud of Stephanie. |

| VA Clinic to Open in Mountain Home The US Department of Veterans Affairs is currently seeking space to open a new outreach clinic in the community, hopefully by March of this year. Initial services will include primary medical care, mental health services and in-home care for some veterans. |

| F35 Scoping Hearings For MHAFB To Be Held USAF officials will be visiting several Southwest Idaho locations February 16-19 to receive public input on possible basing of the F35A Joint Strike Fighter at MHAFB. The Air Force is also planning to have an Environmental Impact Statement prepared for MHAFB and the four other stateside bases currently under consideration. |

| Mountain Home Air Force Base (MHAFB) Makes F35 Short List The Department of the Air Force recently announced that MHAFB is one of five facilities being considered for the first operational units of the F35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter. Weighing heavily in MHAFB's favor are proximity to large, high speed training ranges and superior, year around flying weather. A final decision as to initial basing is not expected until 2011. |

| Don't Miss the Coyote Howling Contest at this year's Fall Harvest Festival, Saturday October 3rd from 10:00 to 3:00. The Festival, which is held throughout downtown Mountain Home Idaho, is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. There will be crafts, foods, exhibits and lots of events include a chili cook off, home brew tasting contest and pumpkin painting contest. |

Final Results: This year's celebration was as successful as ever. In addition to meeting old friends and making a few new ones, Century 21 Southern Idaho Realty raised nearly $400 for the Senior Citizen's "Meals on Wheels" program. Thank you all for your generous support and we hope to see you there next year.
AIR FORCE APPRECIATION DAY - AFAD is best described as the annual party that Mountain Home Idaho throws for military families stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base. This celebration is the "real deal" and includes a parade, flyover, marching bands, visiting dignitaries, carnival and a free picnic for all. The event, which is featured in "Airman Magazine" is a reaffirmation of the close bond between the town and the Mountain Home Air Force Base.
We'll be there, with other members of the the Elmore County Board of REALTORS®, selling raffle tickets and raising money to benefit local organizations. |

2009 ELMORE COUNTY FAIR - This years theme, "104 Years of Cowbells and Carousels", celebrates the Fair itself. In addition to a week of animal judging, contests and food - both the ICA/IMPRA Rodeo and Paradise Amusements will be returning to the Glenns Ferry event. |

FLYING FORTRESS TO VISIT- The "Sentimental Journey", a B-17 owned and operated by the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force will assigned to the Mountain Home ID Municipal Airport on July 10-12. The historic aircraft will be on display from about noon on the 10th until its departure. Low cost tours will be available and not so low cost (but worth every penny of it), 45 minute rides will be offered. To make reservations for a flight call (602) 448-9415. |

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION - The Mountain Home ID 4th of July Celebration starts off in Carl Miller Park with an 8:00 am pancake and eggs breakfast sponsored by the Mountain Home Historical Museum. After breakfast, activities include the flag raising, live musical performances, car show and 4 wheeler demonstrations. Local artists will also be on hand to display their work as part of Art in the Park. The El-Wyhee Business Association is sponsoring this year's event and promises a park full of food and fun.
The fireworks display, almost everyone's favorite event, will begin at 10:15 pm at the Municipal Golf Course with public seating available near Hole 1 off of North 18th East Street. The Mountain Home Idaho Volunteer Fire Department will be in charge of the display which will consist of about 3100 firework shots, one of the largest displays in Idaho. |

RELAY FOR LIFE WALK - Join us in raising money for the American Cancer Society. We'll be sponsoring two teams for the annual "Relay for Life" walk to help fund cancer research and assist families with means for providing care and support to loved ones.
The walk will be held at the Mountain Home Junior High School track (corner of South 18th East and East 6th South), beginning 6/19/09 at 7:00 PM and ending the following morning at 7:00 AM. The luminara ceremony will held at 11:00 PM on the 27th.
